I was wondering what the boys needed all the tape for, and then we had this surprise visit from the Easter Bunny Saturday

Easter Morning
Wow, we had a busy Easter Sunday. Because of Chace's game on Saturday, we didn't make any community Easter Egg hunts, so we held our own hunt with 3 neighborhood friends. Then the kids all dyed Easter Eggs, and then decorated a "bunny hutch." It was great. Chace wants to have an even bigger Easter "Party" next year.
And Alana a flower ball (always need to get the same thing if possible for these two!)
First Soccer Game
Chace's first soccer game was Saturday. With the holiday, only 2 other teammates showed up, so the 3 boys had to play hard the entire game (there were 6 boys on the other time, who got to rotate in and out). Chace's team (Metro Stars) didn't win, but they showed improvement throughout the entire game and hopefully the next game will be better.
Alana likes to go to Chace's games since there is a playground with a pirate ship.

Spring Break fun

Chace and Alana just got back from Spring Break with Nana and Grandpa. They went to Wilderness in the Smokies, the awesome indoor water park. Here's Chace surfing. We are so blessed that the kids have wonderful grandparents that will watch them and take them places! I couldn't go to PT school without their support!

Catching up
Sorry haven't posted a lot lately. Grad school is keeping me busy! The kids are growing up quick though. The other day, Alana got up, got dressed, went downstairs, colored the polka dots on her shirt different colors, let the dog in, found a whistle, and then came and woke us up! Chace started soccer and did great at his first practice yesterday (pictures to follow).

Final Snow Day
Spring is officially here now, so no more snow days! This is from a few weeks ago. I ordered the kids little snow glider things, which did arrive a couple of days before the snow. Unfortunately, not enough snow for them to actually slide on. That's ok, the kids are adaptable and figured out other uses.
Mostly for scooping up snow and dumping it on me. Atleast they took turns?

Honor Roll!
Chace received a certificate today for being on the Honor Roll! Newton was able to be there, and snapped this with his camera phone.

Not so wintry wonderland
School was cancelled again today! We had snow overnight that turned into freezing rain all day. You can see the river running through the front yard. Chace and Logan were trying to float boats down it. Chace became quite concerned when he saw the level of the water in the drainage pond, but it was doing its job and we did not have flooding. Very strange to need umbrellas in the snow.

Snow Days Continued
We did not realize that this would turn into a snow week! The snow all turned to ice, so school got canceled Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! On Sunday Chace and a friend got to have some excitement as our car turned into a giant sled and went backwards down a big icy hill. We got turned around ok and went out a different way. Monday Alana and I finally made snowmen! Its the first time I've made one. We made two little ones (I had to dig through icy crust to get to useable snow) and used dried plums for the eyes. Fun!
Snow Days Part 1
Last Saturday we got around 7 inches of snow. The kids were thrilled! I was better prepared this time, so both kids had snow pants and Alana had boots. So they really got to go out and enjoy the snow this time. Chace helped Logan build a snow fort and Alana got to make snow angels (she had it figured out this time).
Because blue is so last year...

Twas the Night Before Christmas...
Chistmas Morning
We had a wonderful Christmas. Nana, Grandpa, and Uncle Jimmy were also there to help celebrate, which made Christmas even more special. Sorry, forgot to take pictures of the adults, but you know everyone wants to see pics of the kids anyhow.
