Kitties!

Thursday Chace and Ginny had a playdate. Everytime I mention Ginny, Alana starts telling us she wants to pet the kitties, so we stop in for a few minutes. They are growing up fast!

MOPS playdate

We had a super busy day Friday. After I dropped Chace off at camp, Alana and I went to Triad park for a MOPS playdate. Then we ran home for lunch, picked Chace up at camp, and went back to the cool pool again. Chace had a lot of fun playing with his friends from camp there. He lead them on a game searching for different kinds of fish that he made up. Mostly, they spent their time swimming around the whirlpool, while Alana played in the fountains.

She's not really big enough, but Alana was determined to get a drink out of the water fountain by herself.
All the little ones that were able to make the impromptu play date. We'd just had a Mom's Night Out Thursday and decided to meet at the park in the morning.

Swimming and playing in fountains.

We found a new place to play on Wednesday. One of the city parks has this amazing aquatic center. Not only did they have this great fountain area, but there is a zero-entry pool that goes to 1 1/2 feet with more fountains and 2 slides for the little kids, then a large 3 1/2 foot area that includes a whirlpool area for the bigger kids, and then a large pool with diving boards. Something for everyone! Plus it is super cheap. I know where we are getting a pool membership next summer!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Sorry Alana's message is sideways. I keep forgetting I can't just change the orientation like I can on a photo.

Fingerpainting

For some reason, Alana liked the idea of having a green nose. We gave her a bath, since she'd painted the rest of her body as well, but she wanted to keep the nose.

Marbleworks

We finally put together the marbleworks Chace got for Christmas. This toy has been a hit! Marbles everywhere.

SciWorks

This Wednesday we went to SciWorks with one of my co-workers grandkids. Drew is 9 and Maddy 4, so a nice fit with my kids. The vacuum powered chair lift has always been a favorite of Chace's. Alana was really excited to get into it, but not so sure about it 6 feet in the air.
